Intro:

Ah Valentine’s Day. A day of love, a day of celebrating the people you cherish or maybe the day you low key show interest in your crush. A day of romance, flowers, and of course chocolate. But what if I were to tell you there was another way of celebrating love with that special someone? A way to show them how big of an impact they’ve made on your life? Well my friends, look no further than the best Valentine’s Day eve event I have ever come across.

Extreme Dwarfanators Wresting.

Set Up:

When the Ms and I first heard about EDW we knew this was a can’t miss event. How often do you get to see wrestling events like this at intimate venues? We are all about finding fun new activities so hearing there was extreme wrestling coming into town I dawned my new luchador mask that I bought from the mom selling them outside, a couple of PBRs and we’re ready to rumble!

The ring was set in the middle of the venue with two ways to watch. VIP sitting ringside, which in hindsight was the way to go, or you could go GA and first come first serve. Knowing that it would fill out we got there right at doors open and rushed to the best view in the house. The balcony on the second floor. A birds eye view was pivotal to make sure we got maximum fun for the show to come.

Match 1: Micro Terror Vs Micro Dog

Enough beating around the bush, it’s time to go into the event. With 4 matches in the slate, including a triple threat match as well as a championship match, the energy was ALIVE at Fulton 55! Our first contest was a classic one fall matchup between the intimidating Micro Terror taking on the second smallest competitor Micro Dog.

Micro Terror played a fantastic heel as he gave Micro Dog all he could handle. From Trash lids to wet floor signs, these two beat the hell out of one another. It looked as if Micro Terror was in the driver seat for most of the match, but you know what they say, you can take the Micro Dog out of the fight but you can’t take the fight out of that MICRO DOG! A smooth set of reversals and before you know it Micro Dog pulls off the opening upset on Micro Terror! A great start to the night.

Winner: Micro Dog

First Match Rank: 6.6/10

Match 2: Guapito V.I.P Vs Gallito

Next was the second match on the slate and what I felt was a slept on fight. We had pretty boy Guapito aka V.I.P as he took on the loco Gallito. This fight had arguably the best heel of the night in Guapito, as he used trick in the book. low blows, there were a lot of those at EDW, weapons, rope moves, the works. Guapito I felt had this in the bag, but I was unfamiliar with Gallito’s game. Another upset, which led to a post match brawl.

Winner: Gallito, but at the cost of being unmasked.

Second Match Rank: 7.3/10

Triple Threat Match: Lil Tucker Vs Meatball Vs Micro Angel*

Disclaimer: I was grabbing a beer during the introductions so I missed one of the wrestlers’ names. I heard Meatball and Lil Tucker, but missed the final wrestler so I’m unsure of his name. After looking on the roster and scouring the internet, I believe it was Micro Angel.

What I felt was the best fight of the night by far, we had ourselves an epic triple threat match before the title match. We had crowd favorite Meatball taking on Lil Tucker and the suave Micro Angel. This match had it all. Weapons, high flyers, and a lot of ATM. Lil Tucker displaying incredible ring maneuvers but he just couldn’t stack up to Meatball hitting a frog splash on him and Micro Angel for a rare double pinfall win.

Winner by Meatball Sub: Meatball

Third Match Score: 9.3/10

Auction Intermission:

A surprise intermission hit the show before the championship match. Normally this is where fans will get a chance to grab either merch, another drink, or stretch their legs before the grand finale. What the audience got was instead an auction to buy the weapons used in stage with an opportunity to get hit by one of the wrestlers. Yes you heard me right, you could pay to get beat up by the Dwarfanators. From trash cans to a Meatball slap belt, you could bid for a chance to get destroyed by a Dwarfanator.

At first, you’re thinking

“Okay, probably like $20, maybe $80 at most right?

WRONG! $500 later and a grown man went down to the ring to get clobbered by a trash can. You can’t make this stuff up.

Auction Score: 8.4/10 most exciting auction I’ve ever been to.

Title Match: Mini Abismo vs Micro Man

If I had a word to describe this, it would be “chaos.” The finale of EDW was one for the books as we had the not so Mini Abismo, world champion, take on the smallest competitor of the night, Micro Man. The odds were stacked against Micro Man quite tall as he had to climb the tower of pain to reach the gold. Mini Abismo had the upper hand for most of the match. Even taunting Micro Man by holding him over his shoulder and carrying him in a suplex form while, and I’m not making this up, pinching and twisting his other Micro Man…

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier, naturally it did. The entire roster rushed the stage and chaos ensued. Frog splashes and signature were flying left and right. Pin fall after pin fall until finally all that was left was the champ and his fierce competitor. Unfortunately for Mini Abismo, his ego betrayed him, as he overestimated his Micro foe. Micro Man made a clever move to get Mini Abismo shoulders on the ring.

Winner and NEW World Champion: Micro Man!

Final Match Score: 9.1/10 What a night

Verdict: Small But Mighty Fun!

Though I’m sure it was not the Valentine’s Day my significant other expected, I can say whole heartedly that Extreme Dwarfanator Wrestling was a Valentine’s Day we will never forget. From the packed crowd, the auction, to the matches Extreme Dwarfanators put on a unique show that is entertaining for everyone!

Final Score: 8.8/10 outing!
