The year of 2025 has been… well a lot already. Doom and gloom headlines, movies getting pushed back 2 years, looking at your Batman, Spider-Verse, this year has felt like we just can’t get a damn break from this insanity. But when the world goes mad, sometimes you just need an hour or so to escape reality and just turn on the old boom tube. Luckily for us, much like last year, this seems to be shaping up for another incredible year of television.
We may only be a third of the way through the year, but we’ve started the year off with BANGER AFTER BANGER. This blog is for all of the shows that are MUST WATCH for the year of 2025 and a quick score for them underneath. Now before I reveal the list, I am here to tell you I haven’t watched everything under the sun, so the shows below will only be the shows I have watched or am currently watching. If you see your favorite 2025 show not on the following list, know I will get to it…. eventually…. probably….. fingers crossed…. Anyway, lets get this Best of 2025 List Rocking!
Severance: Season 2 (Apple TV+)

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, the first show on this list has to be Apple TV+’s Severance.
There isn’t a single issue with this show. Ben Stiller has created a modern classic as we dive into the mysterious Lumon Industries and their “Severed Floor.” Without going into spoilers, the show follows the workers on this severed floor as they go on their day to day activities at work. But when the clock strikes 5pm, and it’s time to clock out, the workers have their brains switched back to their outside lives or “Outies” lives. The outies have no idea what they do inside of their 9-5 while the workers or “Innies” have no idea whats outside the severed floor.
This may be, definitely, will be the show of the year. From the incredible acting from Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, and especially one of the most riveting characters Tramell Tillman’s Mr. Milchick, Severance is a can’t miss show that is sure to dominate the Emmy’s. But what makes this show even more fun, is the amount of time you stop and try to solve all of the mysteries in the show only to get blindsided!
Score: 9.5/10
White Lotus: Season 3 (MAX)

Another thriller/drama but another great outing from writer and director Mike White. Now I was late to the White Lotus train, but the best thing about White Lotus, is that you can watch any season and it works. Every season, for the most part, are a new set of characters from a different White Lotus Hotel around the world.
Season 3 takes place in beautiful Thailand as an ensemble of characters have their stories intertwined leading up into a captivating finale. From privileged family, a girls trip between old friends, familiar faces, a blooming romance, a failed bromance, and a couple you’ll root for the entire time they’re on screen, this show throws everything and the kitchen sink at you. White Lotus is beautifully shot with incredible actors like Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Carrie Coon, and my new spirit animal Parker Posey, season 3 is sure to make you laugh, cry, cringe up, and have you questioning what will happen next.
Also, a fun little side note and perfect segue to the next show, Director Mike White was a contestant on this next show and has actually had other contestants from that show appear in White Lotus.
Score: 8.4/10
Survivor 48: (CBS/Paramount +)

One of the longest ongoing reality competitions ever, Jeff Probst is back welcoming more contestants to Survivor. After three incredible seasons in 45, 46, and 47, fans are feeling excited for the roll this show is on. A new set of contestants are back on the island in Fiji as they are pitted against each other in efforts to vote on another out until only one remains and they claim the prize of $1 Million dollars.
One of the greatest social experiments ever continues as players lie, make alliances, blindside, and play immunity idols to inch closer to their ultimate goal. With Survivor 50 right around the corner, Probst and the Survivor crew are dialing in to make sure fans are as hyped as ever for this masterfully made show. We maybe about half way through the season, and although it hasn’t had the highs that 47 or 46 had, the air is changing on the island as the players get ready for the final push. Torches will be snuffed and we will be there!
Score: TBD
Invincible Season 3: (Amazon Prime)

Everyone’s favorite superhero, not named Spider-Man, is back with a new look and even bigger problems if you can believe that. With Mark Grayson now essentially earth’s strongest hero and only hope against the Viltrumite Empire, we see Mark trying to balance the life of a hero, a friend, a son, and now a brother to his younger half brother Oliver.
Season 3 does something unique in giving us backstories we didn’t know we needed with some incredible character development for some unlikely candidates. One in particular, the cold, morally complex Cecil Stedman, played by the incredible Walton Goggins. Mark and Cecil’s relationship is a major focal point to the beginning of the season and only escalates from there. Oliver’s morals as a young hero trying to control his powers as Mark and Debbie try to teach him how to be the hero they know he can be is a family dynamic that may have been done before, but feels refreshing here.
The action is significantly better this season as opposed to season 2 as well. The fights feel more impactful, especially in the final two episodes as it all leads to Mark having to make a decision that will change him forever. The acting is sensational as always from Steven Yeun, Walton Goggins, Sandra Oh, JK Simmons, Seth Rogen, and one of the best character developments in the series with Jason Mantzoukas’s Rex Splode. With season 4 already confirmed for 2026, the hype is real from more

Score: 9.3/10
Devil May Cry (Netflix)

This show has no business being as fun as it is. Typically, when you see a “Netflix Adaptation” you hold your breath and hope that it doesn’t turn out to be a dud. I am happy to inform you that this is a damn good time. From solid action, cheesy yet entertaining dialoge, and an awesome soundtrack straight out of the late 90’s, Devil May Cry is devilishly entertaining.
Dante is back kicking ass and taking names as a new demon antagonist threatens to open up the gates of Hell. Dante, DARKCOM aganet “Lady” and the Vice President played by the late great Kevin Conroy make this a jackpot. With season 2 officially confirmed, we are in for a helluva time with our favorite demon slayer.
Score: 7.5/10
